So much for getting a flu shot to prevent getting the flu..I have been sick for 9 days now. Started out with feeling icky, achy and not with it. They my ear started to hurt, my throat next, and then the cold came. I am just now feeling good enough to do my regular things. I have that annoying cough that tickles in your throat, then when you cough, it rattles in your chest and I wish I were a boy. (then I could spit) (although I think spitting is disgusting....)
Maybe I'm a bad person, but I have to say, ,it didn't hurt my feelings NOT going to YW, NOT doing piano lessons, NOT attending a class, and NOT going to YW conference. I hate being sick, but it's a good excuse sometimes.
I think I did better when I didn't get a flu shot. Next year, maybe I'll skip it. I would put a picture of me on here, but who wants to look at an old, pale wrinkled coughing person. How come I think I am 30 and I'm really not..the mirror is scary. I'm just warning you young people- LOOK OUT!!!!Age comes silently, then scares you! HA
Have a good week! Hope you don't get this!
P.S. does anyone know what this sign means? Stu and I saw this in Nova Scotia and no one seemed to know what it means....some canadian thing????

In my opinion I see the sign saying: "Hey you, waiter! the table is THAT way!"
Sounds like you have what the kids and I had the last 3 weeks. It's awful! Hope you feel better soon! And, I have no clue what that sign means.
Yeah, I agree it must have something to do with a waiter and a child showing him where to put down the platter... And I still think the flu shot only prevents the flu, not nasty colds and such. I'm glad you're at least starting to sound a bit more like yourself on the phone though.
It's funny how flu shots are. Although the last two times I've gotten one I've never gotten the flu. Phew! Hope you get better soon.
And the sign? Well, to me it looks like a parent doing the 'raise the roof' dance and the kid saying, "Um, you're embarrassing. If you need me, I'll be over there." :)
I think the sign means someone maybe sightseeing in the area and to watch out for them. The smaller person is pointing out the scene while the bigger one is holding binoculars.
